Description

Open evening cancelled

As you’ll be aware, concerns are being raised throughout the UK about the health implications of large public gatherings. Because of these concerns, we’ve reluctantly made the decision to cancel our open evening.

We can arrange for you to have an individual conversation with our colleagues about your course, either face to face or over the phone if you would still like to find out anything further about our adult education or university-level courses.

Whilst we regret any inconvenience, our priority is always the welfare of the college’s students, colleagues and guests. We appreciate your understanding – and if you’ve got any questions, our team can still be contacted by phone on 01623 627191 or email enquiries@wnc.ac.uk.

What to expect

Whether you’re returning to education, want to take your qualifications higher, or simply ready to try something new, our adult education and university-level open evening is for you.

This open evening is designed to give those aged 19+ all the information they will need about our courses, from entry-level to university-level, both full-time and part-time, to help them make the right choices to support their career ambitions. This could include a community course, work-based learning, a professional qualification, a full-time course (including GCSEs and A Levels) and even a degree.

  • Meet our tutors – They’re passionate about the subjects they teach and are happy to answer your questions!
  • Find your feet – Open evenings are a great chance to get a first glimpse at life at college – particularly good if you’ve been out of education for a while.
  • Apply on the night – Our friendly staff are on-hand to help you fill out an application form and answer questions you may have about finance etc.
  • Helps you to make a decision – Undecided about what you’d like to do next? Our careers team are usually available to speak to on the night, as well as tutors and/or current students.
  • Share the experience – Bring along family and friends so they too can get an idea of what life is like at West Notts!

Delivered by The Guardian’s first university of the year, Nottingham Trent University (NTU), you can study a range of university-level courses at our Vision University Centre in Mansfield. NTU have launched a range of foundation degree courses, which you can study in Mansfield, with all courses having the option to top-up to full degree level. This collaboration is a ground-breaking route to an NTU education, which brings you teaching excellence and a passion for success for all students.

You can study courses in business, computing, criminal justice, education, health and social care, sport and exercise science, working with children, young people and families.

The centre provides students with state-of-the-art facilities including modern learning spaces, IT suites, a learning resource centre, a 100-seat lecture theatre and science laboratories.
